Chris Martin and Jonny Buckland met at the University College London during their study years. At first, they formed the duo called Pectoralz, but later renamed the collective in Starfish after their school friend Guy Berryman joined the group. The Bigger Stronger single from The Blue Room EP, which followed the band's appearance at the Glastonbury festival, focused the attention of the British audience on the young command. However, the members of Coldplay had so many conflicts during the recording sessions of this EP that the band was on the brink of collapse. Luckily, the quartet managed to eliminate all the disagreements and concentrated on the work over the debut album. The first full-length of this rock command titled Parachutes became the hit not only in England, but also in the USA - after their support tour for Parachutes.
