Keera’s actual name is Moorthy and has worked under the likes of Sujith, V. Sekar and ‘Mugavari’ and Thangar Bachchan. Keera’s directorial venture would be a real life incident of a young man’s life and death.
The script is about a youngster’s wrong perception about political world that leaves him shaken and in shock. The life and times of an youth named ‘Pacchai Ramkumar’ is depicted in the movie in a natural manner focusing on a particular night from the youth’s life through narratives from 7 individuals.
The film has been in and around Manapparai, Tiruchi, Perambalur and Kollimalai, places inhabited by Pacchai Ramkumar during his time. Newcomer Vasagar, an erstwhile assistant director, plays the lead role of ‘Pacchai’ while newcomer Saranya stars opposite him as the heroine. Appu Saravanan, Bharath and Maruthai have prominent roles in the film. Keera, who has made some short films including ‘Tamizhu’ based on sex-workers. Won an award at the Canada International Film Festival. His ‘Vadhai’, based on Sri Lankan Tamilians’ plight, was lauded for the earnest theme. Keera has also penned the, screenplay and dialogues of the film.
